In February 2003, the European Directive (2002/95/EC) was released for the restriction of hazardous substances, or commonly referred to as the RoHS initiative. Comair Rotron has launched an aggressive program to have all products and packaging compliant by the end of 2005. This will be six months ahead of the EU directive of July 2006. The following substances will be restricted to exist only below certain levels in electronic products: lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent Chromium, Polybrominated Biphenyl (PBB) and Polybrominated Diphenyl Ether (PBDE).

Comair Rotron introduces the 5.3î Airbox DC blower as the solution to the growing challenge of effectively cooling ever-shrinking electronic applications.

A new slimmer version of Comair Rotron's MajorÆ is designed to accommodate high performance airflow requirements that must fit into a standard 1u height rack.

Designed to overcome cooling system impedance caused by tight quarters, the blower provides high-pressure airflow within tight spaces, such as in RAID drives, power supplies and small 1U rack-mount applications.
